Allie Boggs, 88, of Toledo, died Saturday, April 24, 2021 in St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, OH. Born on June 22, 1932 in Elliott County, KY, he was a son of the late John Boggs, Jr. and Samantha Barker Boggs.
Allie was of the Baptist faith, self-employed contractor and a proud U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Edith Pauline Smith, who died in 2020; four brothers, Dock, Hugh, Willard and Ralph Boggs and five sisters, Isabelle Whitt, Mary Porter, Hattie Copley, Mattie Boggs and Velma Bentley and three grandsons, Ethan Boggs, Scotty Graham and Michael Boggs.
Surviving are five sons, Charles Boggs of Portsmouth, Dave Boggs of Kansas, Ralph (Shari) Boggs of Sciotoville, and Harold and Tim Boggs of Toledo; four daughters, Lillian Steele of Toledo, Jane Robinson of Bucyrus, Vickie Graham-Howell of Bucyrus and Regina Boggs of California; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27th, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rick Mollett officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the James Irwin Post # 622 and William Baker Post # 363 of the American Legion.
A funeral procession will leave the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The flags on the avenue, along with the U. S. Army flag, will fly in honor of proud veteran Allie Boggs.
