Alma Riley

Alma J. Riley, 97 of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on March 21, 1913 in Johns Run, KY, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Cora Horton Waddell, was a retired cook for Wheelersburg High School and of the Baptist Faith. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Harry V. Riley, and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, John (Judith) Riley of Lucas, a daughter, Barbara Hamilton of Portsmouth, 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
