Anna Hewitt Harmon, 71, of Stout, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on May 10, 1939 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Cora Lindsey Holt. Anna was a homemaker, worked for the former Williams Mfg. Co., and was a member of the American Legion Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her husband, Nepolion “Bob” Harmon, four daughters, Donna Kay (Dave) Williams, Debra Gay (Henry) Oberling, and Doris Fay (Howard) Robinson, all of Portsmouth, and Della Ray (Brad) Hewitt of York, PA, three stepsons, Bill (Connie) Harmon of Portsmouth, Cam Harmon of Cornerville, TN, and Kelly Harmon of Arlington, TX, two stepdaughters, Regina Harmon and Lisa Harmon of Arlington, TX, two brothers, Donald (Ruby) Holt of Stout and Roger (Pat) Holt of Columbus, 12 grandchildren, Ryan Andre, Brandy (Matthew) Setters, Bryson (Courtney) Williams, Brock Williams, Tristin Fay Jenkins, and Katie Marie, Elizabeth Rene?, Howard Robert, Tyler Reed, and Gabrielle Holt Robinson, and Gage & Race Oberling, five great-grandchildren, Alexandria Andre, Whitley and Riley Setters, Mark Braden Jenkins, and Lane Williams. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Junior, Russell, and Walter Holt, one sister, Eleanor Richard, and one grandson, Steven Robert Noel. Anna’s joy in life was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Church with Pastor Richard Phillips, officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from Noon – 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
