Barbara “Bobbi” Craig, 72, of Wheelersburg, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born on April 20, 1943 in Akron, was a retired nurse’s aide at the Southern Ohio Medical Center, and attended Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church.
Preceding Bobbi in death was a son, Danny Craig and her stepfather, Leonard “Red” Johnson.
Surviving are a son, Randal (Debra) Craig and a daughter, Rhonda (Bryan) Blanton, all of Wheelersburg; her mother, Jean Newcomer Johnson of Wheelersburg; a brother, Joe (Carolyn) Johnson of Lucasville; four sisters, Lori (Roger) Strang, Brenda (Paul) Tomlin, and Beverly (Mike) Kapitanovich, all of Wheelersburg, and Diane Sharrer of Akron; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren that includes a very special great-grandson, Casen, who was her inspiration for living.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Ron Blevins officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and an hour prior to the service.
