Rebecca Sue O’Connor,72, of New Boston, formerly of Sciotoville, died Saturday evening, March 19,2022, in the Ohio State University Hospital emergency room. Born on November 25, 1949 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Roger and Opal Hickman Brady and a member of Sciotoville Christian Church.
Becky enjoyed working the elections and meeting everyone and devoted her life to caring for others as a nursing assistant. She loved playing board games and cards with family and friends, was a lover of books and was affectionately known as one of the Brady Bunch. A highlight of her life was when the Buckeye football games were on t.v. Most of all, Becky loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Bobby Brady, and a sister, Jean Brady.
Surviving are a son, Charles (Jessica) O’Connor of Lucasville; two daughters, Angela (Hakim Jabar) Canaca of LA and Amanda (Jesse) Johnson of McDermott; a brother, Jim Brady of Nebraska; two sisters, Stella Parker of Wheelersburg and Helen Henson of Sciotoville; 8 grandchildren, Kaylin and Jack Johnson, Abbigail, MacKenzie and Samson O’Connor, Ariel and Shakaia O’Connor and Corey Hughes and special great-grandchildren, Easton and Alecia.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
