Bernice Bell

Bernice E. Bell, 90, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at home. Born on August 5, 1921 in Greenup, KY, she was a daughter of the late William Martin and Mallisa Stiles Green, and was a retired nurse. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Bell, Sr., two sons, Robert E. Bell, Jr. and Thomas “Ed” Bell, two daughters, Charlotte Worstell and Mary Rice, and three brothers. Surviving are one son, James “Poe” Bell of Portsmouth, one daughter, Mallisa Dillon of Portsmouth, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Jerry Parker officiating. Interment will be in Old Wheelersburg Cemetery.
