Betty Lowe

Betty C. Lowe, 81, of Sciotoville, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at her home. Born on September 14, 1931 in South Webster, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Pitts and Mary Elizabeth Yeley Pitts, and was retired from the Department of Jobs and Family Services. Betty was a member of Wait’s Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Donald Lowe, a son, Michael Lowe, and a sister, Erma Lee Allard. Surviving are a son, Tom Lowe of Sciotoville, three daughters, Suzanne Binns Brown of Sciotoville, Michelle (Casey) Lowe Colvin of Ironton and Kathleen Lowe Dean of Sciotoville, a brother, Laurence (Judy) Pitts of South Webster, two sisters, Donna (Raymond) Jones of Medina and Mary Elizabeth (Kenneth) Ellifritt of Wheelersburg and three grandchildren, Philip Wylie Binns, Richard “Boomer” Brown and Kyle Dean. A funeral service will be at the convenience of the family with interment in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Speaks.
