Betty “Granny Bags” Mauk, 90, of Sciotoville, died peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2017, at Best Care Convalescent Center.  Born on September 7, 1926 in Sciotoville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Crystal Martin Seibert, graduated from East High School, and was an avid bridge player.

Granny Bags was formerly employed at Williams Manufacturing Co., retired from the Sciotoville Drug Store after 33 years of service and was a former member of the Sciotoville Boat Club.

Betty was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Seibert.

Surviving are a son, Jeff (Carl Hack) Mauk, a daughter, Kathy (John) Grimm of South Webster; three granddaughters, Sarah (Chad) Barber, Katie (Aaron) Montgomery and Emily (Allen) Harner; and six special great-grandchildren, Myles, Lucy, Molly, Alex, Olivia and Ellie.

Memorial gifts may be made to East High School.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Service in Sciotoville.
