Bob Howard, Sr., 59, of Wheelersburg, went to be with our Lord in Heaven, on July 29, 2012, after a hard battle with cancer. He was born in Portsmouth, on December 13, 1952, a son of the late Cliff and Gladys Howard. Bob was baptized and attended the Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church, worked as a carpenter out of Local #437 in Portsmouth, and also coached Little League baseball and pee wee football in Sciotoville. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob enjoyed watching sports, traveling with his wife, as well as family gatherings, and backyard cookouts with his children and grandchildren, all of whom he reminded daily of how much he loved them. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Don and Danny Howard, and a sister, Marie Howard Stone. Surviving are his loving wife, Diana Cregger-Howard, children, Misty (Jason) Howard-Jewett, Bobby (Amy) Howard, Jr., and Annie (Craig) Howard, stepdaughter, Dacia (Gary) Johnson-Stiltner, two stepsons, Russ (Cissy) Johnson III and Randy Johnson, nine grandchildren, Ashley Howard, Ty Howard, Dylan Howard, Logan Howard, Ella Howard, Taylor Appling, Austin Johnson, Caiman Stiltner, and Riley Johnson, three brothers, Dave (Dee Dee) Howard, Larry (Samantha) Howard, and Kenny (Susie) Howard, loving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Mae Cregger, two brothers-in-law, Donnie Cregger and Paul Stone, and a special nephew, Paul Everett Stone, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Aaron Reed, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Cancer Center.
