Carl Raymond Huston, 93, of London, formerly of Portsmouth, died on his birthday, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Bluebird Retirement Community. Born on September 16, 1928 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Chris and Pearl Schaefer Huston and was a retired clerk for the United State Postal Service.
Carl was a graduate of Valley High School, where he graduated at age sixteen and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Emily Delawder Huston.
Surviving are two sons, Larry (Tona) Huston and Ron (Jill) Huston, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 19th at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Throckmorton officiating.
A procession will leave the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Ron and Larry wish to acknowledge friends Mark Morgan of Morgan Brothers Jewelry and Jeff Brant for their friendship with Carl. Bro. Carl called Jeff 365 days a year for several years, and sometimes 2-3 times a day.
The flags on the avenue, along with the U.S. Navy flag, will fly in honor of proud veteran Carl Huston.
