Carol Watton

September 30, 1942 — November 5, 2021

Carol J. Watton, age 79, of Sciotoville, died on Friday, November 5, 2021, at home with her family by her bedside.  Born on September 30, 1942 in Coal Grove, she was a daughter of the late Conward and Edna Holland McKinney and was a wonderful homemaker.

Carol was not only a wife, mother, and grandmother, but she was a woman of God, who loved to give her praise to the Lord for all things. She loved to be outside in the spring and the summer. Creating beauty around her home was something that came easy to her, the various colors of flowers that surrounded her home was her biggest comfort and joy. She enjoyed gardening and harvesting the fruit of her labors. She loved playing 500 rummy with family, and enjoyed listening to music.

Also preceding Carol in death were a brother, David Paul McKinney, and sisters Freida Huddle, Wanda White and Sherry Massie.

Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Gary Watton, a daughter, Tonda (Eric) Martin of Wheelersburg; two sisters, Sheila (Jim) Trout of Ironton and Kathy Fossin of Ironton; a granddaughter, A’ndrea (Gabe) Glenn; two great-grandsons, Cole Glenn and Curtis Glenn; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorial gifts may be made to SOMC Hospice.
