Cecil McKenzie

Cecil W. McKenzie, 92, of Franklin Furnace, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at home. He was born on January 29, 1925 in Greenup, KY and was a painter for Doerr’s and Associates.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Zola McKenzie, and a grandson, Greg McKenzie. Surviving are two sons, Cecil Lowell (Angie) McKenzie and Bill McKenzie, all of Franklin Furnace; two daughters, Lily (John) Blevins of Minford and Phylis Brotherton of Heath; four grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Chloe and Carter; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Austin.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Greenlawn Cemetery with Reverend Don Noel officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.
