Charles F. Brisker, 83, of Wheelersburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 22, 2023, as he entered SOMC Hospice Center.  Born on May 6, 1940, in West Portsmouth, he was a son of the late John Samuel Brisker Sr. and Dolly Mae Taylor Brisker and was a former lineman with AT&T.

A charter member of Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, he was instrumental in the construction of the church and was a Sunday School teacher.  For 33 years he served on the South Central Ohio District Advisory Board.  Charlie sold real estate, was very proud of his task of transporting deaf and blind children to the Columbus Deaf and Blind School, a former insurance agent, master craftsman, and in his spare time was a farmer.

He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Also preceding him in death were brothers John Samuel Brisker, Jr. and Richard Franklin Brisker.

Surviving is his devoted and dedicated wife, Nancy Rhodes Brisker, three daughters, Bethany (Brad) Stockton of Turlock, CA, Rebecca (Peter) Ryder of Medina and Leah Brisker of Kansas City, Kansas; a brother, Larry (Rita) Brisker of New Lexington, and four wonderful grandchildren, Claire Ryder, Nick Ryder, Timothy Shockey, and Jonah Shockey.

A Celebration of Charlie’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Bryan Mallott officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with military honors by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The American flags, along with the U.S. Air Force flag, will fly on the avenue in honor of our veteran Charles Brisker.
