Cheryl Lynn White

Cheryl Lynn Martin-White, 68, of Portsmouth, died Monday, December 11, 2023, in her home.  Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1955, in Youngstown, she was a daughter of the late Earl Douglas Martin and Mary Kathryn Gaines Martin, and worked in the gift wrap department of Marting’s Department Store.

She was a former nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, worked in the U.S. Forrest Service as a firefighter and formerly at Portsmouth Ambulance.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Anita Flick and Carol Norling.

Surviving are two sons, Brian Martin of Wheelersburg and Jeff (Jeanie) Poracky of Portsmouth; a brother, Gary Martin of Wheelersburg; a sister, Linda Bowers of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Marcus Martin, Coty McGee, and Destiny Poracky and a great-grandson, Edward McGee.
