Cline McCallister

December 6, 1932 — May 28, 2018

Cline N. McCallister, 85, of Sciotoville, died Monday, May 28, 2018 at home, with his family by his side.  Born on December 6, 1932 in South Shore, KY, he was a son of the late Clyde and Gertrude Honaker McCallister and was an Army veteran.

Cline was a retired meat cutter with Millhuff’s Super Market and a 58-year minister with the International Pentecostal Church of Christ, where he served several churches and was the current pastor at the Scioto Furnace I.P.C.C.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Basil McCallister and Paul McCallister and five sisters, Lillian Truglio, Betty Eddleman, Evelyn Boyles, Fayetta Royse and Freida Lyons.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Patty) McCallister of Portsmouth and Mark McCallister of Winchester, KY; a daughter, Belinda (Randy) Ballengee of McDermott; a brother, Denver McAllister of Troy; nine grandchildren, Josh McCallister, Tom Royal, Radley Ballengee, Justin McCallister, Cara Reighard, Andrea Patton, Mike McCallister, Jessica Howell and Chris McCallister; thirteen great-grandchildren; a special friend, Linda Waddell of Lucasville and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Cline’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31st, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Clyde Hughes and Rev. Dwayne Young officiating.  Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery in Siloam, KY, with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 12:00 Noon on Thursday.  The flags on the avenue will fly in honor of proud Army veteran, Cline McCallister.  www.brantfuneralservice.com.
