Clyde Lewis, 79, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on February 11, 1931 in Scioto County, he was a son of the late, Clyde and Goldie Brown Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jarvis Lewis, four sons, Michael (Sherri) Lewis of Portsmouth, Jimmy Lewis and Gary Lewis, both of North Carolina, and Jeff Lewis of Lucasville, Janice (Dennis) Pelfrey of Sciotoville, Penny Chamberlin of Franklin Furnace, and Debbie Gillam of Portsmouth, Phyllis Ward of Minford, and Terri Lewis of Lucasville, two brothers, Carl Lewis and Tom Lewis, two sisters, Joan Yuenger and Nancy Dawson, 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was two brothers, Bill and Dave Lewis, and three sisters, Emma McGuire, Marybell Fannin, and Marcella Robinson. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday.
