Dale Shepherd

Dale Ray Shepherd, 63, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on March 28, 1948 in Prestonsburg, KY, he was a son of the late, Edward Crit and Goldie Shepherd. Dale was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired electrician at USEC. Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Morris Shepherd, his children, Jonathan Dale Shepherd of Cincinnati and Jennifer Rae Shepherd of Portsmouth, two brothers, Carl Shepherd of Minford and Chris Shepherd of Wheelersburg, six grandchildren, Austin Shepherd, Ty Arrowood, Lexus Shepherd, Makayla McMurray, Iana McMurray, and Jonathan Dale Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rita Carver. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. The family will receive friend at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
