Donald “Bub” Jenkins, 38, of Wheelersburg, formerly of Sciotoville, died Sunday, March 21, 2021 in the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room after a lengthy illness. Born on October 1, 1982 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Michael and Teresa Dingess Jenkins.
Preceding him in death were his father, Michael, his mom and dad, Alice and Karl Dingess and a brother, Karl Dingess, Jr.
A graduate of East High School, Bub enjoyed wrestling in his younger days, along with working on derby cars and racing them. One of his thrills in life was a motorcycle ride with the Bikers for Christ.
Surviving are four brothers, Bryan Jenkins, Daniel Stone, Ronnie (Belinda) Dingess of Wheelersburg and Terry (Debbie) Dingess of New Boston; a sister, Tosha (Devin) Bloomfield of Dry Ridge, KY; his mother, Teresa Cooley of Lucasville; several nieces and nephews, including Jade Conley and Haven Bennett; a great-niece, Olivia Jaconskie and several aunts and an uncle.
A service will be held at noon on Thursday, March 25th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Terry Dingess officiating. Interment will be in Bailey’s Chapel Cemetery in Wakefield.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Masks will be required, but not furnished by the funeral home. Social distancing will be observed.
