Donald Clifford Turner

Donald C. Turner, 69, died Sunday, December 10, 2023, in his home.  Born on January 30, 1954, in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Howard Joseph Turner and Gertrude Catherine Will Turner and was a retired social studies teacher and school bus driver for Portsmouth City Schools.

A graduate of Minford High School, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.  Don attended St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, was a farmer and was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. 

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Angela Wyant.

Surviving is a brother, David (Leslie) Turner of Wheelersburg, three sisters, Regina (John) Craig and Rita (Frank) Miller, all of Wheelersburg and Doris Pichick of Pickerington, a brother-in-law, Tom Wyant of Carmel, IN and four nieces and one nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 14^th,  at St. Peter’s Church with Fr. Peter Gideon as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
