Dorothy Hughes

Dorothy Grace Hughes, 101, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at home. Born on September 7, 1915 in Ironton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertina Fosson Justice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Hughes, two brother, and four sisters. Surviving are five sons, Ed Hughes, Tom Hughes, Sam Hughes, Danny Hughes, and Kenny Hughes; three daughters, Mary Bates, Lanie Houck, and Jill Wilhelm; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Gail Lightner, officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice.
