Edna Adkins
January 21, 1918 — October 17, 2016
Edna Mae Adkins, 98, of New Boston, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott. Born on January 21, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Callie Graham Sexton and was a homemaker.
Edna was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville Adkins, a son, Orville Adkins, Jr., a daughter, Mary Louise Schwable, three brothers, Bernard Sexton, David Wade and Chan Graham, and two sisters, Annabelle Eiford and Imogene Kilgore.
Surviving are a son, James (Patricia) Adkins of New Boston, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Dollie Sexton and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Jim Benner officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
