Effie Risner

Effie L. Risner, 78, of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on April 22, 1938, she was a daughter of the late James and Dora Johnson Smith and was a member of Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church.
Effie was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Risner and a brother, Daniel Smith.
Surviving are four sons, Vernon (Teresa) Risner of Wheelersburg, Larry Risner of Betsy Lane, KY, Leonard (Vickie) Risner of New Boston and Harold (Rita) Risner of N. Vernon, Indiana; three daughters, Brenda Risner, Darlene Stiles and Linda Baker, all of Wheelersburg; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Risner of Minford; a brother, Grunder (Peggy) Smith of Marion; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two twin great-great granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3rd at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Jane Jarrells officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
