Elberta Ramey Wenner, 77 years young, of Denver, CO, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 after a long illness of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Berdie, to everyone who knew her, was born on April 27, 1933 in Olive Hill, KY to the late Carlos Vincon Lawhorn and Virginia Smith Lawhorn. Also preceding her in death were her husbands, Carl Donald Ramey on September 5, 1970 and Paul A. Wenner on February 15, 2003. She was the second child of seven children and is survived by two sisters, Madge George and Shirley Williams of Smithville, TN, and one brother Ralph Vincon Lawhorn of Mansfield. Also surviving are her three children, Karen (Rudy) Fannin of Arvada, CO, Randy (Sherry) Ramey of Fremont, NC, and Patsy (Kim) Edwards of Aurora, CO, eight grandchildren, Keesha (Tim) Leavitt, Douglas (Chrissy) Fannin, Laura (Eric) Burk, Rochelle (Douglas) Jouett, Lucas Fannin, Courtney (Jamie) White, Brandon Ramey, and Kimberly (Dion) Martinez, and twenty great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Brenna, Jeffrey and Jayden Leavitt, Brendan, Ryleigh and Mason Fannin, Janessa, Aryan, and Elijah Burk, Krislyn, Rabecca, Ryan, Katelyn, and Olivia Jouett, Dyllan, Dalton, and Carson White, Dion Fisher Martinez and Cierra Martinez. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
