Ellis Charles Bowling

Ellis C. Bowling, 70, died Monday, June 12, 2023, in the SOMC Hospice Center surrounded by his family.  Born on August 25, 1952 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Ellis and Mary Bowman Bowling, and was a retired truck driver.

Moses enjoyed go-cart racing with his son.

Surviving are three sons, Christopher Bowling and Michael Bowling, both of Wheelersburg and Mark (Stephinie) Bowling of Minford; a daughter, Shannon (Keith Boggs) Turner of McDermott; two sisters, Susan (Dave) Bennett of Portsmouth and Carolyn Meadows of Sciotoville; an aunt, Katherine Cantrell of Neon, KY; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; his companion, Elaine Foster, and her children, Chris (Lorie) McGrail, Levi (Carla) McGrail and Aaron McGrail; and several nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.  Interment will be in Wheelersburg Cemetery. 

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
