Evelyn Leach

June 2, 1917 — January 22, 2014

Evelyn Eileen Leach , 96, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Concord Health & Rehabilitation Center.  Born on June 2, 1917 in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late William Pearl and Maude Newman Thompson.  Evelyn was a graduate of Minford High School, was a member of Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, and formerly employed at Bragdon’s Department Store, Ramada Inn, and the Holiday Inn.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Clark Leach, a son, Roger Leach, five brothers and a sister.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Debbie Fouch and Barbara Leach, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a niece who recently served as caregiver, Trevelyn (Earl) Seibert.

A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum.  Interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park.  Friends may call at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
