Faye B. Ellsesser, 86, of Sciotoville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 after a brief illness. Born April 22, 1924 in Hamden, she was a daughter of the late Quince and Nellie Suthers Young and a devoted 70-year member of the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene. Faye was a 10 year employee of the former Millhuff’s Department Store, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 8 years, active in many civic and community organizations, and especially proud that she had traveled in all 50 states. Also preceding her in death were her husband of 52 years, Gilbert E. Ellsesser, brothers Dale and Harold Young, and a sister, Donna Young. Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Pam) of Pataskala, Jerry (Pam) of Harrisburg, PA and Scott (Teresa) of Logan; a brother, Ovid (Laura) Young of Kankakee, IL; a sister, Janie (Dick) Salmon of Loudonville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Ed Myers officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene.
