Florence Schomburg

Florence May Schomburg, of Sciotoville, left her home at Best Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg, and entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the age of 97. Born on October 10, 1917 in Manchester, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Fanny Cooper Locke.

Flo devoted her life to loving and caring for her husband and family.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Herman Schomburg, a sister, Dolly Zimmerman; two brothers, Gordon Locke and Gene Locke and a son-in-law, Howard McGraw.

Surviving are her children, Lou (Vivian) Schomburg of Galion, Pat McGraw of Sciotoville, Mike (Sue) Schomburg of Wheelersburg and Gary (Sue) Schomburg of Miamisburg. She was the proud grandma of eleven grandchildren; Kim Nagorski, Steve Schomburg, Kurt McGraw, Matt McGraw, Garrick Schomburg, Barry McGraw, Leslie Johnson, Kara Willis, Andy Schomburg, Ryan McGraw and Scott Schomburg. She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 27 ^th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Matthew McGraw officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.  The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.  Memorial gifts may be made to SOMC Hospice.
