Frances McGraw

Emma Frances McGraw, 76, of Portsmouth, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room.  Born on July 27, 1941 in Scioto County, she was a daughter of the late Frank “Pete” Bender and Hilda Penix Bender.  Also preceding her in death was a brother, Frank “Smokey” Bender.

Frances was a very good housewife, mother and wife.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ernest Lee McGraw; five children, Tammy (Paul) Pennington of Portsmouth, Tony (Tina) McGraw of Minford, Sherry (Charles) Stevens of Portsmouth, Jeff McGraw of Portsmouth and Ricky (Tabatha) McGraw of Piketon; five grandchildren, Kayla (Seth) Iverson, Austin McGraw, Jake McGraw, Emmalee McGraw and Toni Lynn McGraw; a great grandson, Theodore Iverson; two special little girls who loved her very much, Boo and Baby L.;  two brothers, Joe (Pat) Bender of Rigrish Addition and Roger (Ruth Ann) Bender of Portsmouth; three sisters, Leona (Leonard) Williams of New Carlisle, Priscilla (Ronnie) Baker of Lucasville and Wanda (Keith) Lilly of Portsmouth and many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Ron Baker officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
