Frances Lucille Williams, 95, of Hill View, formerly of Wheelersburg, died Monday, January 23, 2017, at Hill View Health Care Center. Born on May 8, 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Williams, and a son, James D. Williams. “Frankie” was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School.
Frankie served as president for the Wheelersburg Band Boosters for 20 years and was active in the Porter Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was proud to serve many years as an election poll attendant and Wheelersburg PTA.
A member of the SSU Golden Bears and Tan Lan Pool, she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years at Wheelersburg Baptist Church and was a member of Wheelersburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Randy (Dianne) Williams of Circleville and Mark Williams (Tim Carsey) of Bexley; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Myers Williams of Hillview; two granddaughters, Jill (Todd) Preston of Portsmouth and Dionysia Williams of Columbus; three grandsons, Jason Williams, Jeremy Williams and Garrett Williams, all of Columbus; a great-grandson, Tanner Preston and several nephews.
A Celebration of Frankie’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheelersburg United Methodist Church or SOMC Hospice.
