Gale Hull

August 10, 1941 — August 15, 2014

Gale Edward Hull, 73, of New Boston, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on August 10, 1941 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Myrtle Jackson Hull and was former night auditor for 16 years at the Ramada Inn. Gale attended Christ’s Community Church, was a member of the James Dickey Post of the American Legion and had been a member of the Ohio National Guard.

Surviving are three daughters, Glenda (Stephen) Lore of Franklin Furnace, Sheryl (Brian) Toller of Lithopolis, and Tanya (Greg) Bailey of Wheelersburg; a stepdaughter, Misty (Paul) Grommesh of Orient; a stepson, David Patrick (Molly) Bussler of Colorado; four brothers, John (Paula) Hull of North Moreland, Jim (Carmen) Hull of Minford, Kenneth ( Eleanor) Hull of Portsmouth and Wendell (Lori) Hull of Wheelersburg; four sisters, Rosemary Bellar of Wheelersburg, Retha (Henry) Cantrell, Patsy Whitt and Jane Ward, all of New Boston, eight grandsons, Branden (Hannah) Moore, Justin Toller, Shay (Megan) Lore, Corey Bailey, Andrew Toller, Dylan Bailey, Isaiah Bussler and Alexander Grommesh; a granddaughter, Kendra Lore; and one great-grandson, Brock Moore.

Gale was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Hull.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Rick Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends at Brant’s after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Military honors will be rendered by the James Dickey Post burial detail following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice or donations may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
