Gladys Stone

Gladys M. Stone, 59, of New Boston, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on August 27, 1950 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Gladys Adkins Howard, and was a nursing assistant. Survivors include her husband, Paul Stone, Sr., two sons, Paul (Dawn) Stone, Jr. of New Boston and Steven Ray (Misty) Stone of Portsmouth, four brothers, Paul David (Dee Dee) Howard of Sciotoville, Bob (Dianna) Howard of Wheelersburg, Larry (Sam) Howard of Minford, and Kenny (Suzie) Howard of Wheelersburg, seven grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Richie, Frank, Kayla, Carly, and Jenna, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Danny Howard, and one grandchild. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice Center.
