Gloria Smith
, 78, of Chillicothe, formerly of South Shore, KY, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Born July 4, 1932 in Sunshine, KY, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Marriah Collins Smith, and braider operator at Mitchellace for 47 years. Gloria was also a member of South Shore First United Methodist Church, a 1950 graduate of McKell High School and a beautician. Surviving are nephews Rick and Shannon, and a niece, Loretta. Preceding her also in death were a brother, Leo Smith, and sisters, Loretta Smith, Darlena Smith, and Evelyn Rice. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery (KY). Friends may call at Brant’s in Portsmouth after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
