Iris Eldridge
October 7, 1942 — April 14, 2017
Iris Jean Eldridge, 74, of Wheelersburg, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Portsmouth and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eldridge, her mother, Hazel Lykins Jackson and her father and stepmother, Lawrence and Blanche McCormick Jackson.
Surviving are two sons, Gregory (Guille) Tackett and Steven Tackett; a daughter, Jessie Born; a brother, Dean Jackson; four sisters, Kay Pyles, Linda Knipp, Anita Gaines and Joan Holsinger; eight grandchildren, three of whom she raised, Marybeth Born, Courtney Born and Michael Bornand five great-grandchildren.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Bishop Samuel Salyer officiating. The family will receive friends at Brant’s after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
