James D. Graham, 77, of Rigrish Addition, Sciotoville, died Sunday, May 8,, 2011, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born October 3, 1933 in Sciotoville, he was a son of the late James and Georgia Graham, was a graduate of East High School and a retired engineer with the N & W Railroad with 42 years of service. Jim was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Also preceding him in death were brothers Robert and Drew Graham and a sister, Norma Bowman. Surviving are his wife of54 years, Sylvia Johnson Graham, two sons, James (Kendall) Graham of Minford and Jeffery Graham of Columbus; two daughters, Brenda Marsh of Sciotoville and Angela Graham at home, 8 grandchildren, Becky Stapleton, Michelle Bentley, Nichole Bartley, Natasha Graham, Josh Graham, Tia Graham, Christian “C.J.” Tyler and Gabrien Tyler, and 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Daryl Grimes officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
