Jane Humble

Jane Humble, 73, of Portsmouth, died Friday, September 21, 2012, at home. Born on April 5, 1939 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Hershell and Ina Nance Dunlap. Jane was of the Baptist faith and a former waitress at the Ye Olde Lantern Restaurant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cooper, a brother, William Nance, and a grandson, Matthew Kelly. Surviving are a son, Ted Cooper of Portsmouth, a daughter, Teresa Jane Lodwick of Portsmouth, two grandsons, Michael Cooper and Kevin Lodwick, four great-grandchildren, Kyle Cooper, Taylor Cooper, Landan Lodwick, and Dominique Lodwick. Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH. A memorial service will be scheduled in the future. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice.
