Jason Hoskins, 55, of Sciotoville, died peacefully in his home with his family by his bedside on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Born on November 21, 1965 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Judith Hoskins McGinnis and the late Darrell Lewis.
Jason attended Christ Community Church and was an instrument mechanic at Fluor-BWXT and owner of Hoskins Concrete Company and was an East High School graduate. He was gifted with a second set of parents, grandparents Ralph and Pearl Hoskins, who loved him like their own, taught him and supported him in life.
Jason’s philosophy was family first above all else.
Also preceding him in death was his precious dog, Lexi.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Dryden Hoskins, a son, Joshua (Samantha) Hoskins of Sciotoville; a daughter, Erica Hoskins of Wheelersburg; his mother Judy (Steve) McGinnis of Sciotoville; a brother, Eric (Lisa) of Portsmouth; six VERY SPECIAL grandchildren, Natali, Rayce, Harper, Sydney, Colton and Charlee Rue; a special uncle, Bub (Lisa) Hoskins of Portsmouth; five favorite nieces; his former wife and her husband, Lisa and Russ Hicks and stepmother Vicki Lewis.
A Celebration of Jason’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Ralph Clay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
