John Hartle

John N. Hartle, 74, of Sciotoville, died at home.  Born on December 16, 1942 in Akron, he was a son of the late Nelson and Gladys Martin Hartle.  John was a member of the Gettysburg, Ohio #477 Masonic Lodge and honorary member of Western Sun #91 Masonic Lodge.  He was also an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War, retired from the Ohio River Valley Youth Correctional Facility and attended the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Linda Jones Hartle.  Survivors include his daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Swick of Sciotoville; two brothers, Thomas Hartle of Arcanum and James Hartle of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Williamson of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A masonic service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum in Memorial Burial Park conducted by the Western Sun #91 Masonic Lodge.  A funeral service will follow with Pastor Chad Garinger officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene Building Fund and the National Rifle Association.  Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.
