Joyce Eileen Yates

Joyce Eileen Yates, 84, of Grove City, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her home, with her family by her bedside.

Born on April 16, 1940, in Cincinnati, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Eileen Hamilton Harris. 

She had worked in the office for disabilities at the Ohio State University, was an avid animal lover and tremendous baker.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Clevo Yates, a brother, Jack Harris and a sister, Judy Murta.

Surviving are her only daughter, Linda (Larry) Wright, with whom she resided, four grandchildren, Mallory Wright, Nikita (Caleb) Luick, Kaleigh Wright and Leslie Wright, and two great-grandchildren, Charleigh Powers and Lacey Burgess, and of course her dog, Baby.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Worley’s Run Cemetery.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
