Karen Kay Dunlap

Karen Eastham-Dunlap, 70, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday February 3, 2023 at the SOMC Hospice Center.  She was the daughter of the late Ruby Chapman Selvey and David Eastham and was a graduate of Portsmouth High school and Shawnee State University. She was a former nurse’s aide at SOMC and spent several years caring for others.

Karen spent her years devoted to her children and grandchildren. She would always look forward to her yearly Florida beach vacations with her son. Everyone that met her would say how sweet and loving she was and how much she loved her family.

Karen is the proud mother and survived by her son, Derrick (Kaylin) Dunlap of Wheelersburg; two daughters Cassie (Stallard) Lyon of Portsmouth and Kayla Blackburn of Covington KY; four grandchildren Hannah, Hunter, Curtis and Austin, and two great grandchildren Zaid and Arcadius. Also surviving are her sister, Kimberly (Michael) Whitney of Hillsboro, OR and a brother, Dave Eastham.

Karen was proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, Larry Chapman and Michael Eastham and another brother that passed at birth.

Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.
