Kevin Finn

April 9, 1950 — January 10, 2014

Kevin D. Finn , 63, of Wheelersburg, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at his home.  Born on April 9, 1950 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Dale and Helen Finney Finn, was a retired conductor for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad with 41 years of service, and was a 1968 graduate of West Portsmouth High School.

Kevin was a highly decorated Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.  He served in the Seventh Calvary of the 101 st Airborne and received the Purple Heart.

Surviving are his wife, Sheri Wedebrook Finn; two sons, Matthew (Marcie) Finn of South Webster and Todd Finn Columbus; two brothers, Michael (Sue) Finn of Friendship and Brian Finn of Roanoke, VA; a sister, Bridget (Clark) Law of Harmony, MN; and three grandchildren, Blaine Finn, Seth Finn, and “Papaw’s Little Princess”, Kynlee Finn, and several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at South Webster Cemetery with Rev. Peter Michael officiating.  Military honors will be rendered by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.  The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
