Lillian Perdue

March 8, 1933 — January 16, 2012

Lillian R. Perdue, 78, of Portsmouth, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at Bridgeport Health Center. Born March 8,, 1933 in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Nancy Conley Selbee and was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Lillian lived in New York for many years, where she retired from Grumman Aerospace. She then received her degree as a registered nurse and retired from the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Mary Perdue Sheets and Nancy Diane Puckett, a brother, Marvin Selbee, and three sisters, Mary Ann Selbee, Martha Jane Selbee and Barbara Meenach. Lillian leaves behind her loving family, who will miss her dearly, including her husband of 55 years, Harold Perdue, sons Daniel Perdue of Dresden, Harold Perdue, Jr. of Dresden, and Ryan Perdue of Portsmouth, four grandchildren, a sister, Betty (Paul) Jackson of Plain City, a brother, Thomas (Dolores) Selbee of Wheelersburg, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church with Fr. Adam Streintenberger and Fr. David Young as con-celebrants. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and SOMC Hospice.
