Linda McCane Bettes , 64, of Columbus, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus. Born on October 3, 1949 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Frances Spence McCane and a retired housekeeper for Doctor’s West Hospital. Linda was a member of Columbus West Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Charles “Dick” Bettes, three daughters, Glenda (Stephen) Lore of Wheelersburg, Sheryl (Brian) Toller of Lithopolis and Tanya (Greg) Bailey of Wheelersburg, three brothers, Dale (Jiggs) McCane of Brookville, Ind., David (Diane) McCane of Hudson, Fla. and Don McCane of Wheelersburg, a twin sister, Brenda McCane of Portsmouth and a sister-in-law, Helen Heiss of Columbus. Survivors also include six grandsons, Branden (Hannah) Moore, Justin Toller, Shay Lore, Corey Bailey, Andrew Toller and Dylan Bailey, and a soon to be great-grandson, Brock Moore.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Rob Watts officiating. Interment will be in Pine Valley Cemetery in Ribolt, KY. The family will receive friends at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
