Mack McQuinley, 88, of Portsmouth, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at home. Born on November 20, 1922 in Bracken County, KY, he was a son of the late, Jess and Francis Litzinger McQuinley. Mack was owner & operator of the former K&M Restaurant on Chillicothe Street and attended the Rubyville Community Church. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Goodwin McQuinley, four brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons, David Wayne McQuinley and Michael Keith McQuinley, II. Surviving are a son, Michael Keith McQuinley of Portsmouth, a daughter, Susan McQuinley of Portsmouth, three grandchildren, Zachary Hall, Nathan McQuinley, and Kristin McQuinley, three great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Hall, Zachary Hall, Jr., and Kaidence Leib, and a very special friend, Wanda Hurt, of Portsmouth. Mack loved gardening and growing roses that he placed in arrangements at the restaurant, and greatly enjoyed time on his farm with family and friends. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
