Margaret Wise

Margaret Marie Wise, 90, of West Portsmouth, died Monday, June 25, 2012, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born August 30, 1921 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late John and Alma Hornikel Jones and was a former employee of Kresge’s. Margaret was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and a member of Carey’s Run Church of Christ and Pond Creek Church of Christ. Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold Wise, Sr. Surviving are a son, Art (Connie) Wise of West Portsmouth, a daughter, Pat (Roger) Holt of Delaware, grandchildren Phil (Alicia) Holt and Tina (Jason) Slusher and great-grandchildren, Carson and Addison Holt and Aidan and Abigail Slusher. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH with Mark Seevers, minister, officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
