Marilou Porter

August 4, 1944 — May 13, 2015

Marilou Porter, 70, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Hill View Health Care.  Born on August 4, 1944 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late James and Dicy Grate Goddard and was a former claim’s clerk at Walmart for over 25 years.

Marilou was a graduate of East High School and Cedarville College, and was an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam Era.

Surviving are two sons, CW4 Jason (Kristi) Porter of Greenville, SC and Major Russell (Kirstin) Porter of Colorado Springs, Col.; a daughter Greta Heller of Mauldin, SC and four grandchildren, Jason Heller II, Taylor Porter, Anna Porter and Dawson Porter.

A service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum with Rev. Blaine Etterling officiating.  Interment followed in Memorial Burial Park.  Military honors were rendered by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.
