Marilyn Jean Taylor, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on March 12, 1947, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late C. Rodney Millhuff and Una Caudill Millhuff and was a member of Lucasville Church of God.
A 1965 graduate of East High School, she furthered her education receiving a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. In her earlier years, she was an employee and buyer for the former Millhuff’s Department Store. Marilyn, and her late husband, Ed, participated in the Baby Blanket ministry through her church for King’s Daughters Hospital.
Also preceding her in death in January was her husband, Edward Taylor, and a granddaughter, Sarah Hannah.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela Hannah of Lloyd, KY and Kim (Jon) Hensley of Sciotoville; her brother, Rodney (Kim) Millhuff of Wheelersburg; six grandchildren, Rancie (Emily) Hannah, Erika Hensley, Daniel (Alex) Hensley, Jessica (Cody) Spence, Lauren Hannah, and Trenton Hannah, and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Lacie Hannah and Quinten Hannah.
A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rick Ratliff officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
