Mark Barney

Mark Alan Barney, 61, of Portsmouth, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in the SOMC Hospice Center.  Born on May 4, 1960 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Fred and Jean King Barney, and was a proud paramedic for Portsmouth Ambulance Co, dedicating more than 30 years to the community.

Mark was also preceded in death by a brother, Fred Barney, and a niece, Amanda Knous.

Surviving are a daughter, Nicole (Eric) Wagner of Wheelersburg, a brother, Ron Barney of Portsmouth; two sisters, Joyce Feazell and Donna Eldridge, both of Portsmouth; a nephew, Jason Kinskey and his former wife, Stephanie Rollins of West Portsmouth.

Per Mark’s request, private services for the family will be held at their convenience.

Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE.
