Marvin L. Williams, 76, of Minford, died peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018, at his residence. Born on June 30, 1941, he was a son of the late Clyde and Pauline Castle Williams and attended Jackson Street Apostolic Gospel Church. He was a 1959 graduate of Minford High School and was owner of the former Tony’s Pizza and Weather Guard in Sciotoville. He left employment at Portsmouth Elementary in May.
Surviving are four sons, Anthony Williams of Mississippi, Joe Williams of Arkansas, Todd Williams of Minford and Christopher Williams of Columbus; 2 stepsons, Kent Staten of New Boston and Mark (Sherri) Darby of Sciotoville; a daughter, Amanda Williams of Minford; two sisters, Sandy (Ted) Tozer of NC and Bonnie (Jacque) Holloway of Centerville and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marvin was also preceded in death by a son, John Williams and two brothers, Vernon Williams and Lonnie Williams.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 12:00 noon on Wednesday.
