Mary Emogene Buckley, 85, of Sciotoville, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the Best Care Nursing and Rehab in Wheelersburg. Born on August 14, 1929 in Cullman, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Alvin Moore and Dula Mae Moore Garrard. Jean was a former nurse’s aide at the Southern Ohio Medical Center and a member of Wheelersburg Church of Christ on Gallia Pike.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas E. Buckley; three brothers, Jimmy Garrard, J.T. Moore and Alvin Leroy Moore and two sisters, Claudia Fillingane and Patricia Blevins.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Buckley of Poplarville, Mississippi and Michael E. Buckley of Sciotoville; two daughters, Cathryn G. (Robert) Wolfe of McDermott and Pamela K. Kayser of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum with Lynn Wessel officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE on Wednesday.
