Matthew Cline, 48, of North Moreland, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021, in the prayer room at New Life Worship Center. Born on February 15, 1973 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Virgil Cline and Wanda Briggs, and was a director at the Counseling Center.
Matt was very proud that he was also a member and associate pastor at New Life Worship Center in North Moreland.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Trapp Cline, two sons, Caleb Cline and Caden Cline and a daughter, Danielle Cline, all at home; Matt’s honorary parents, Mike and Bernadine Gifford of Sciotoville; his father, Virgil Cline, of Winchester; his mother, Wanda Briggs Schroedel of New Boston; four brothers, Mark Cline of Portsmouth, Jeff (Ruth) Cline of Chesapeake, VA, Brandon Cline of New Boston and Zach Schroedel of Franklin, Massachusetts; a sister, Kelli (Rob) Bentley of Louisville, KY; his special grandchildren-in-training, Hayleigh, Kayleigh and Brodi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Matt’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19th, at New Life Worship Center with Pastor Mike Gifford and Pastor Jeff Cline officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at the church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE.
